Living in Deeptime: Applying the New Cosmology in Life and the World

Modern science reveals that we live in a universe far richer and more wonderful than anything we could have imagined. The emerging New Cosmology weaves together insights from modern science and traditional wisdom to show that we live in a sacred reality that is personal, meaningful and radically inclusive.
Together we will reflect on some of these insights and their implications for our spirituality and how we might live them in our daily lives.

We are what we eat! Explore how foods can affect our body.
The doctrine of signatures, dating from the time of Dioscorides and Galen, states that the color and shape of different plants, vegetable and fruits resembling various parts of the body can be used to treat ailments of those body parts. There was a theological justification for the doctrine of signatures, as stated by botanists William Cole that “ God would have wanted to show what plants would be useful for”.

This retreat is for artists and non artists, to experience three days of creative expression through painting. During this retreat you be provided the opportunity to meditate, grow and nurture your innate wisdom through the experience of painting. What are you planting ?
This is the time of the year to start fresh and plant something new. What seeds will you plant, water, nourish, tend to grow this Spring? The seeds you plant can be on many levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Enjoy a mini-sabbatical exploring the ancient wisdom of indigenous peoples, learning ways of relating to the natural world with greater reverence.
A Spirit Quest in the natural world opens us to the inspiration of the Spirit.
During this mini-sabbatical, you will create several, unique earthen vessels using a hand building technique. No art experience is necessary.
Enjoy a time of solitude and companionship with other seekers.

Can we hear the cry of Jesus on the cross in the cry of Earth? Reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus through the suffering, death and regenerative power of Earth. Our experience of Easter gives us hope in a time of ecological decline.

Yoga is an ancient practice that helps unite body, mind and spirit. On this yoga retreat, join Charleston yoga teacher, Joe Vinceguerra, for a Yoga, Breathing and Meditation Retreat. Each morning, afternoon and evening, yoga and meditation classes will be offered while providing time to explore the beautiful world of Springbank. You will leave refreshed, renewed, and re-grounded. Participants do not need to know yoga or be "yoga experts".
