Rooted and Wild: A Fall Retreat of Herbal Wisdom and Inner Balance

April Punsulan

The natural world has always held the medicine we seek—both for body and spirit. In this weekend retreat, join April Punsalan, herbalist, botanist, and founder of Wild Herb Academy, for an immersive journey into wild plant medicine, Ayurveda, and seasonal self-care. Through guided foraging walks, hands-on medicine-making, and the ancient lens of Ayurvedic wisdom, we’ll explore how to reconnect with the Earth and ourselves in the season of turning inward.

Together, we’ll reflect on what it means to live in harmony with nature’s cycles and how wild herbal medicine can support deeper balance, vitality, and emotional resilience. You’ll discover your unique Ayurvedic constitution (dosha) and learn to work with wild plants that bring you into alignment as we move through autumn. We’ll also gather for fire ceremony, ritual, and community—reclaiming ancestral ways of healing that nourish the soul.

In our time together there will be plenty of opportunity for reflection, discussion, walking the beautiful forest trails at Springbank, learning to identify and work with wild herbs, and creating your own homemade herbal remedy.  This retreat is open to all levels—from beginners to seasoned plant lovers.
