September 18 – 20 Drum Making : Transformation • Relationship • Sacred Sound

Join Michael and Shannon for a guided weekend experience centered on ceremonial intention and the creation of your own medicine drum. This workshop invites you to build not only an instrument, but a living partnership between animal, maple tree, and human—crafted through sacred process, guided drumming journeys, and hands-on drum construction.
During the Opening ceremony on Friday evening, participants will cleanse and prepare the sacred space, honoring the Four Directions and Four Elements, and initiating the transformation journey through the sacred cleansing of the hide.
On Saturday, drum makers can look forward to Ceremony, guided drumming meditation to connect with spirit (animal) and source (maple tree), followed by step-by-step instruction in drum preparation, assembly, and traditional lacing—grounded in intentional relationship-making.
Drum Makers move to the final phase of Integration and Biofield Tuning. It will be a group integration on drying, care, and the ceremonial honoring of the process, plus a 1-hour biofield relationship, tuning to deepen resonance with your drum, followed by a closing blessing.
All leave on Sunday after lunch, with a handcrafted drum—and the beginning of a relationship that can support you in ceremony, healing, prayer, celebration, grief, and joy.

Timing: Starts with the Opening Ceremony after dinner at 5.30pm and ends with lunch at 1pm on Sunday.

Materials: Complete Drum Kit comes with raw hide, lacing, frame, drum stick, varies from $280 - $380 depending on choice of hide and size of drum. Please place your order for the drum kit latest by August 21st.
